Remember how I started 2015 with Ananda and Scott, as they waited for the arrival of their little boy? Well, flash forward to now: he’s 7 months old, and clearly the adorable focus of this new little family. We got together on a beautifully crystal clear fall Sunday in Richmond’s Museum District, and I was really happy that they had chosen the grounds of the VMFA (Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, for the uninitiated) for our session. The space is so big, inviting, and full of great nooks and crannies for making more art.
The typically joyful and smiling Asher was in the midst of an unexpected growth spurt, which caused him to be extra sleepy and oddly stoic as we got started. Mom and Dad worked to get him back into his normal cheery self, and did a great job finding the best way to get a giggle out of him.
Piper, the older child, is still adjusting to not being in the center of attention, but behaved excellently for us and even managed to snuggle in close without getting frustrated with her little brother.
I have so many favorites from this session, but I really enjoy this “conversation” that the three of them were having. All fully engaged in each other and what’s happening between them.
I love-love this connection between Ananda and Asher during his snack-time feeding.
Ananda and Scott, thank you so much for letting me peek into your family life yet again. The four of you are clearly meant to be together, and it was a pleasure hanging out with you on such a gorgeous afternoon.
