Just a perfect day
Problems all left alone
Weekenders on our own
It’s such fun
Oh, it’s such a perfect day
I’m glad I spent it with you
I was really afraid the weather wasn’t going to cooperate for the spring mini sessions last weekend. The forecast leading up to Saturday was all over the place, calling for showers one day and sun the next. Thankfully, the weather was really perfect, and the Azalea Garden at Bryan Park was blooming and ready for us to play. Just down the path from half a dozen hectic soccer games, I met the Medvedevs, Blackmans, and Verhulsts, and we spent some time updating family photos and making the most of a perfect April Saturday.
I first met with Carter and Nora, who have hung out with me before and are familiar with the bubbles and fun we have during our sessions. We sniffed flowers, played with sticks, and Nora serenaded us with a lovely rendition of Let It Go, complete with dramatic arm motions. I really enjoy watching how this extended family plays together – Carter and Nora are close enough in age that they’re really able to play the same games at the same level, and it’s a lot of fun to watch them giggle and run and explore.
Just as we were finishing our time together, Shaunna and Brad found us frolicking among the flowers, and introduced me to little Leon, who is experiencing his first spring. The blanket that I brought along just happened to perfectly match their outfit choice, too.
For a teething 6 month old, Leon gave me a full mini-session’s worth of perfect smiley and happy baby mood, to go with our perfect weather. Brad and Shaunna prepped him and kept him laughing and excited, which definitely helped too! You’d never know that he was popping out little teeth.
Thank you all for coming out on a gorgeous Saturday morning and playing in the garden with me!
The azaleas will be blooming for a while, but not forever – if you’d like your own full-length family session with me in the Azalea Garden, contact me now to set something up!
