The Gang’s All Here: Forest Hill Extended Family Session

It was cloudy, but not raining (a rare thing in those days), and breezy but not cold when I met with Nutan and her family at Forest Hill Park. Nutan’s brother originally gifted her a maternity session with me for Christmas about 4 years ago, and it had been a while since we had seen each other, but it felt as if no time had passed when we met at Forest Hill. The whole gang was there: her husband, son, and dog of course, but also her parents and brothers, and even her in-laws, who were in town visiting from India, so we had a good time getting lots of different combinations of pictures as we wandered up and down the path at the park.

Dhanvin opened right up to the camera, telling me about his obsession with Superman, how his black lab will be dressed up as Supergirl so they can go trick or treating together later this month, and was happy to run back and forth and up and down with the boundless energy of a four year old.

With all the rain and cloudy weather we’ve had lately, I was worried that the overcast day would be drab, but the ladies’ saris really popped in the green and gray environment.

Thank you, Tomar and Singh families, for a lovely Sunday morning jaunt through the park. Hopefully it won’t be another 4 years before we see each other again!

  1. Pics came out amazing Allison…as expected. I think it was mostly due to the rapport you had with monkey

  2. Allison, great pictures yet again!
I really loved the candid pictures as well, glad that you and Nutan had that planned.
    Thanks so much!
    Till next time…….

  3. What a beautiful family and setting! Allison is right, the color of the ladies’ saris really popped in the natural setting. My personal favorite is the one where Dhanvin has his hands on his hips and he is smiling at Nutan…so sweet. You will cherish these pictures for many years to come!
